Weekend Recap: Dallas Cowboys Take the Week Off, Flash Mob Thieves, and Another Weeklong Parlay

I'll admit it - the last weeklong parlay didn't live up to the hype - but that all changes this week.

However, before we get there, let's recap a few notable headlines from this past weekend.

Flash Robbers

The most recent flash mob taking the news by storm looked a little different than you're probably used to seeing.

On Saturday night, a group of rebellious looters took to a neighborhood Nordstrom located just outside of San Francisco to showcase their newfound interpretation of the "flash mob" pandemic.

Leave it to people from California to take the fun out of an otherwise harmless activity.

But no seriously, this group of "flash mobbers" took the term "mob" a little too seriously when they decided to synchronously rush into Nordstrom's with ski masks and crow bars. The Vinny Hale proclaimed ~flash robbers~ quickly grabbed all they could hold and within minutes made their way to the line of getaway cars waiting down the block.

Only a handful were arrested on site by police, and the rest are currently being searched for by local law enforcement.

The crazy part about all of this is that it proves only 1 thing...

  1. The flash robbers were smart enough to coordinate this whole debacle yet not smart enough to choose somewhere better than Nordstrom's - local Gucci and Louis Vuitton stores are resting safely as the next target for these handbag hoodlums seems to be between San Fran's neighborhood Wal-Mart or the Macy's with missing apostrophe down the street.

Dak and the Cowboy's Miss Flight to Kansas City

As a Cowboy's fan, I'll be the first to admit that it was a lackluster game for the boys.

Dak Prescott finished the game with 2 interceptions, 2 fumbles and was sacked a total of FIVE times. The responsibility of those sacks falling mainly on the Cowboys O-Line which was without veteran lineman, Tyron Smith, for the third straight week.

As the NFL's highest scoring offense, the boys were only able to muster up 9 points on three field goals in their 19-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Is it time to panic?

Not so much. Our defense was able to keep us in it for the majority of the game with shining star moments from rookie Micah Parsons.

Despite what Stephan A. Smith has to say about how much he hates the Cowboys and their fans, we're still leading the NFC East and have reason to be optimistic about the rest of our schedule.

Next week the Cowboys look to get back on track as they host the Las Vegas Raiders as seven point favorites - will they make their way into The Weeklong Parlay?

The Weeklong Parlay

Ah, the moment you've all been waiting for.

What set of picks does Vinny have for us to fade this week?

This edition of The Weeklong Parlay showcases some notable favorites looking to get back on track, some sneaky underdogs hoping to play spoiler and some completely biased picks based off of my favorites team.

After a lackluster performance in the first edition of The Weeklong Parlay, I reached out to a few friends for help on the picks this week.

Here are the picks for the second edition of The Weeklong Parlay. Let me know what your opinions are on the picks and make sure to sound smart around your friends when they start talking about who they think will win.

Gambling is a serious addiction and I'm in no way encouraging you to do so nor giving financial advice. These picks are solely for the enjoyment of rowdy conversations with friends discussing who will win a game. If you or someone you know need help with a gambling addiction, please click here.

Here's to a good week spent with family and friends - Happy Thanksgiving!
